FINECUT is a film company specializing in international sales and marketing, production, financing, and acquisition of high-end film, set up in 2007 by Youngjoo SUH, the founder of Cineclick Asia, who has represented many works of the best-known Korean filmmakers such as LEE Chang-dong (BURNING, POETRY), KIM Ki-duk (PIETA), HONG Sangsoo (THE WOMAN WHO RAN), PARK Chan-wook (OLD BOY), BONG Joon-ho(THE HOST), KIM Jee-woon (I SAW THE DEVIL), and NA Hong-jin (THE CHASER). SUH has represented not only Korean films but also a wide variety of international films such as TUYA’S MARRIAGE (China), the winner of the Golden Bear Award at the Berlin Int’l Film Festival, Pablo TRAPERO’s LION’S DEN(Argentina), and CARANCHO (Argentina), which were both invited to official selection in Cannes Film Festival. Its overseas sales department, FINECUT INTERNATIONAL has shown unrivaled records of sales, funding, and global marketing of high-caliber domestic and foreign audio-visual content.

  Since its launch, FINECUT has produced many acclaimed works including SUH’s co-producing titles LION’S DEN and CARANCHO, both directed by the Argentine DIRECTOR Pablo Trapero and zombie animation SEOUL STATION (directed by YEON Sangho. In addition, in 2014, the company launched ‘WAF (Writers Agency of FINECUT) which supports promising writers in polishing and expanding their expertise. From 2022, STUDIOFINECUT, the production, and agency business department based on more than 20 years of accumulated network and skills, is expanding its business area to film and series production. 

  FINECUT aims to make a total agency system combining international sales for film & TV series and a writing agency and seeks to be a cradle of global artists, as well as global production.
